Birthday Cakes

Number cakes are great for milestone birthdays and can be decorated with beautiful buttercream piping, florals, sprinkles, chocolate, candy or anything you could imagine.

Here we have a stunning number cake for a special lady who turned 100 years old! The cake was a vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and decorated with a variety of pink toned piping in various techniques.

We added some gorgeous edible pearls and pastel sprinkles. The cake turned out absolutely beautiful and came out moist and delicious.

This little princess wanted a unicorn cake to celebrate her birthday. Unicorn cakes are immensely popular and we just adore creating them! Here we did a classic pink and white ombre base icing, with a confetti sponge inside. Decorated with unicorn coloured piping, a golden horn and cute little unicorn ears from fondant. This cake was the highlight of her special day and it was totally delicious too! Kids just love the confetti sponge – so bright and fun.

We also made a special unicorn cake for the school class party. This time we went with a beautifully designed edible print for the top, and creamy pink buttercream frosting and piping.

These have to be my favourite cakes to create – fresh flowers add such a classy, elegant touch to a cake that cannot be matched. This floral style trend is so versatile and can be adapted to suite any occasion.

Traditionally, we use fresh flowers on wedding cakes, but nowadays there are no rules or limits. Take a look at the recent floral cakes that we have done and get inspired!

We had 2 boys celebrating their birthdays together and they are crazy about Spiderman. They each had to have separate cakes that looked similar. We created 2 charming spiderman cakes with blue and red frosting and edible prints of their favourite Spiderman picture. They went crazy for their cakes and the fact that they had the same cakes was so sweet.

The previous year, the boys were very much into dinosaurs and wanted a dino themed party with matching cakes! We covered a chocolate sponge with brown and green buttercream to resemble a dino land with a toy dinosaur ontop. They were super excited to have their very own dinosaur birthday cakes!

You dont have to look very far to find a chocoholic! Our chocolate cakes are absolutely out if this world. We are always excited when we get a ‘chocolate lovers’ cake order and believe me – there are plenty!

Unleash the inner Willy Wonka because the chocolate vibes have arrived!

Here we created a chocolate cake for the die hard chocoholic – rich and moist chocolate sponge filled with dark chocolate buttercream and covered with rich chocolate frosting. Cue the chocolate drip, and of course a variety of delicious chocolate bars ontop.

This was an extra large chocolate and caramel birthday cake which fed about 50 – 60 people – it was HUGE! We made a chocolate and vanilla marble sponge and filled the layers with a combination of dark chocolate ganache, buttercream and caramel dessert. Dual coloured piping with chocolate and vanilla buttercream and of course a chocolate and caramel drip.
